Ultimate storage
You all know that you can store your items in your dressers, in your mail pockets, and in your inventory. But you can also store more by saving letters filled with items. Just go to the town hall and talk to Pelly in the mail section. Select save a letter. But first, drag an item in to that letter and then save it. It's like having two dressers.

Bored with your home? No problem. Keep on checking the recycle bin and the lost & found until you find some furniture. Start checking Nook's store to see if there is any furniture that is the same color. Don't forget to shoot out present balloons (the presents attached to balloons that are floating in the sky), you will most likely get furniture. Have fun! This applies for the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing also, but you would check the dump instead of the recycle bin, and catch floating presents with a bug net.
